Section 227
Don't do animal cruelty
(1) No one shall do or cause to be done to animals.
(2) A person who commits an offense under sub-section (1) shall be imprisoned for up to two years and fined up to twenty thousand rupees, and if he commits or causes any other animal to be slaughtered, he shall be imprisoned for up to one year and fined up to ten thousand rupees.
